Family Times

Uncle Gentry is telling tall tales......"Well, Danny, your dad used to get nose bleeds all the time and one day when we were out playing in the pasture he got a doozy of a bleeder. As the responsible older brother I grabbed the closest thing there was to stuff up his nasal passages and stop the flow ......and come to find out your pa is allergic to ragweed!"
"Aunt Lainey, is it true?" It is worrisome to be the younger brother at times like this.

Look at those big blue eyes!!

Yeah, Danny, you'll likely hear lots of stories about your Dad and all his brother's antics! Have your Dad tell you the one about when Uncle Gentry tried riding his motorcycle standing up on the seat!

So Victoria wasn't too far off when she said, "Another stupid boy!" - when she heard what kind of baby Beth had!

I have to beg to differ about the stupid boy...hey, we have 3 & yep the last name on all of them is "Burgess"! Let me tell you there is never a dull moment & it seems that it is only going to get funner & more interesting. Victoria will be eating her words when tall & handsome comes into her life...oh at about 30...I think that is when Gent said she can start dating! I love the Burgess brother stories! They make me laugh evertime one is being told & oh the amount of character they each have because of the exploring male mind! :) ha

ahhh....tis the problem with the computer, you can't hear the love and affection in the comment voice when saying, "stupid boys."

Elaine, Had you known more chapters about your "stupid" boy, I bet you would have still married him!! Really when you get him and Troy together...not much has changed in their conversation..."I wonder what would happen if we do ____?"

Victoria next year will embark upon meeting some Eighth grade boys... and wow...it will impress upon her to wait til at least 30 or remain single...definitely too many Tarzan wannabes!! All boys definitely need time to grow up...not like us cute, adorable, intelligent girls/women *grin!!
By the way Elaine...what handsome boys you get to take pictures of around here...how lucky!! Oh, and I have a feeling my boys might get a few chapters in the sequel to the book! *groan HERE'S TO US (PERFECT) GIRLS!!!

I'm still waiting for Mr. tall and handsome ... thank goodness I'm not allowed to date until I'm 36 instead of 30 because he'd really have to hurry! ;-)

Based on your stories, I think I'm going to look into getting some Urgent Care gift certificates for my sister-in-law!

I don't think that anyone in attendance at Beth and Troy's wedding will soon forget the antics of the Burgess boys ...
