For Renee

Since you asked for pictures of the "boys", here they are. And besides, everyone should have a fresh goat picture on their blog from time to time. :)
Magical Fireball, noted for his one 1/2 horn that causes him to sometimes be mistaken for a unicorn. This picture does not show it, since it is a seasonal accessory. Fireball is a goat with presence. He is friendly and knows that he is special.
And our goofy little Cobalt Blue. He is a very lovable goat, fearless, and usually covered in hay. He is also a cat magnet. For whatever reason he attracts this one particular cat in our neighborhood and she always wants to get in a fight with him, but as usual he is clueless to his own talent, and goes on munching dandelions while being stalked by a cat with evil intent. And yes, those are fresh goat "raisins" on the road from our nice little dispensers. (No bagging necessary!)

Oh, what fun, to see pictures of your cute goats...and indeed they ARE cute! How funny that Cobalt gets stalked by a cat and remains oblivious to it! Do they get to run on the street very often? :o)
What breed of goat are they...cuz I've always thought baby goats were cute, and adult goats ugly, but these fellers are quite handsome yet at what five years old or so? Thanks for obliging my request!

In the summer, we take them out a lot, just around the block. They are always happy to go, and follow along fairly well. We used to try to get them to wear collars and leashes and that didn't work real well. Our training was probably not consistent enough. They are african pygmy goats, and really are pretty cute, beings how they are about the size of a medium dog, with real large middles. You should get some! They are very social creatures, and love the kids.

So funny to see the goats. My kids are raising pigs for the fair, and we are having a lot of fun with them. We have to walk them each day, and they have a mind of their own and not real easy to control. The fair is only 2 weeks away, so we will probably be chasing pigs around the fair grounds!

I am inviting myself over to take those goats for a walk. I HAVE to do it.
